Chateau de Galilee was started by Yossi Ben Odis who is considered to be one of the most experienced sommeliers in Israel. With a vision to create wines that focus on the Upper Galilee region and encourage the creation of jobs in the area, Yossi launched his own wines in 2016. The grapes are grown and manually harvested in the Upper Galilee, allowing for careful and meticulous handling of the grapes. The Merlot, with the little bit of Cabernet Sauvignon that was added for depth, was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels to bring layers to the elegant taste.
